It is a part of Pride’s Pride: Beyond Your Perception where the foundation is supporting and creating exposure for LGBTQIA+ artists to express and showcase their art form.

The goals of Pride’s Palette encompass the following:
- Offering a platform for artists to present their unique forms of art.
- Facilitating exposure for artists within the LGBTQIA+ community.
- Demonstrating the remarkable talents and capabilities of LGBTQIA+ Artists.
- Bridging the gap between artists and their audiences.
- Enlightening society to foster greater appreciation and support for diversity.
The inaugural endeavor under Pride’s Palette, “Stitching Dreams: Silaaeko Sapanaharu,” transcended the conventional notion of a mere exhibition; it stood as a resounding affirmation of art’s remarkable ability to challenge preconceived notions, nurture empathy, and champion inclusivity. Through the creative and profound expressions of exceptionally talented LGBTQIA+ artists, this exhibition made an enduring impression on Nepal’s art scene, drawing us nearer to a society that is increasingly inclusive and accepting.

In an ever-evolving world, events of this nature emerge as guiding beacons of hope and instigators of transformative progress. As we celebrate the accomplishments of LGBTQIA+ artists and their vital contributions to our cultural mosaic, let us remain committed to bolstering initiatives such as Pride’s Palette. These platforms act as conduits, linking diverse communities, uniting artists with their audiences, and imparting vital education to society, encouraging a deeper appreciation and support for all its constituents.

Collectively, we possess the ability to shape a world where the dreams of each person seamlessly merge into the core of a more inclusive future. Additionally, we are enthusiastic about an array of diverse projects that will unfold in the near future as part of the ongoing journey with “The Pride’s Palette.”

Embracing Queer Experience:
Nepal, like many countries, has witnessed significant strides towards greater acceptance of the LGBTQIA+ community. However, within this overarching progress, certain experiences can be overshadowed. “Stitching Dreams” set out to shine a spotlight on one such experience: gender fluidity. As artists and members of the Queer community, the exhibition’s organizers aimed to use their shared experiences and artistic expression to raise awareness about gender fluidity and gender dysphoria. It featured an art exhibition from two different Queer artists, each expressing their unique perspectives on LGBTQIA+ experiences.
- Aditi Sherpa, a self-taught artist specializing in painting and digital art, used her work to explore the intricacies of being queer in Nepal and the complex emotions associated with mental health.
- Aliz Ghimire, a fashion designer and artist, founded Aliz Wardrobe, a genderfluid brand championing sustainable, genderless fashion. Through his creations, Aliz challenged societal norms, making the fashion industry a more inclusive space.
Exhibition Objectives:
- Challenge Gender Norms: The exhibition aimed to challenge traditional gender norms, showcasing fashion as a form of self-expression that transcends the binary gender system.
- Foster Empathy and Understanding: Through personal narratives, artistic expression, and interactive elements, the exhibition sought to foster empathy, understanding, and acceptance among visitors.
- Support Mental Health: By addressing gender dysphoria and its impact on mental health, the exhibition provided a platform for dialogue and offered resources for individuals dealing with this condition.
- Celebrate Diversity: The exhibition celebrated the diverse range of identities and experiences within the LGBTQIA+ community, emphasizing the beauty of individuality.
As the world continues to evolve, events like this serve as beacons of hope and catalysts for change. As we celebrate the achievements of LGBTQIA+ artists and their contributions to our cultural tapestry, let us continue to support platforms like Pride’s Palette, which serve as bridges between communities, connecting artists and audiences and educating society to be more appreciative and supportive of all its members. Together, we can create a world where every individual’s dreams are stitched into the fabric of a more inclusive future.
