Lucy Mars Putter is a veterinary nurse from South Africa with a strong passion for wildlife conservation and nature photography. Her interest in animals and ecosystems began during her childhood on her grandparents’ game farm, where she developed a deep connection with nature.Building on her professional experience in veterinary care, Lucy expanded her work into wildlife documentation and conservation storytelling. In early 2023, she traveled to Nepal through the Nature Conservation and Photography Fellowship by the Gehendra Dhimal Foundation, marking a significant step in her creative and conservation journey.During her fellowship, guided by mentors Gautam Dhimal and Om Prakash Yadav, she explored Nepal’s diverse landscapes and biodiversity, from the urban environment of Kathmandu to the ecosystems of the Koshi River and Chitwan National Park. Her work focuses on wildlife encounters, community engagement, and environmental awareness, reflecting a strong commitment to conservation and the protection of natural heritage.
