Role Overview:

LSU is seeking a skilled and creative Photographer to produce high-quality imagery for the university, including editorial features, news coverage, portraits, campus events, and social media content. The role supports LSU Marketing & Communications and works closely with the creative team to strengthen LSU’s visual identity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture photos for print, web, media, and social platforms.
• Shoot campus events, portraits, and editorial assignments.
• Manage photo editing, color grading, and digital asset organization.
• Support creative team with visual strategy and brand consistency.
• Provide basic Apple/macOS IT support within the department.
• Photograph high-level events including the LSU President & Board.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 2 years of photography experience (freelance or employed).
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge, and digital asset tools.
• Strong camera, lighting, and studio skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Must submit an online portfolio link.

Preferred:

• BFA in Photography.
• 3+ years experience with large organizations or universities.
• Knowledge of IT systems & server tools.
